Ozan Can Özübal
Born in Ankara, 1984

Ozan Can Özübal completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Yıldız Technical University between 2002 and 2006. During this period, he concentrated on the spatial and architectural conditions emerging within transitional zones between conservation areas and newly developing urban settlements.

He subsequently earned his Master’s degree in Urban Design from Yıldız Technical University between 2007 and 2010. His academic research focused extensively on pedestrian behavior analysis, through which he developed innovative analytical methodologies that contributed to the academic discourse in urban design. By integrating Space Syntax with conventional urban analysis techniques, he established original interdisciplinary approaches to spatial evaluation.

Since 2004, Özübal has been professionally engaged in a wide range of architectural and urban design practices, primarily within architectural design departments, contributing to projects spanning urban transformation, conservation, public space design, and spatial strategy development.

He is also the author of three Turkish-language novels:
İtlaf (2013), Bataklık (2015), and Mavna (2020).

Alongside his professional practice, he is an amateur musician engaged in musical composition and an active tennis player.
