Standard Rest Facility Design for
IETT Drivers – Operations Directorate

As part of the project, a building for IETT
Operations Directorates was designed to be
used throughout Istanbul. While privacy and
permeability were simultaneously requested,
the structure was also expected to represent
IETT’s institutional heritage. The building
was designed to receive light through strip
windows set above tall walls. A thin roof
edge was created, and the roof slope was
concealed. Additionally, the use of brick and
steel materials made references to IETT’s
corporate history
